Den tyske spionen von Kullman har flytt från Vetnien med viktig information och sitter nu på ett värdshus i det neutrala Österrike, i väntan på upphämtning av Hökarna. Vetniska soldater fångar dock honom och Hökarna jagar efter dem i ett snöigt landskap, på väg mot den vetniska gränsen.
