This Gwandanaland Comics collection reprints issues #17–23 of the Golden Age Doll Man series, spotlighting the pint-sized hero's battle against the villainous Nemo Black. Alex Kotzky's cover art tells the story vividly: a tiny but powerfully built Doll Man wrestles with a poison-skull-marked torpedo in churning water near a city reservoir, while a hulking, grinning villain and a trench-coated figure loom menacingly from a rowboat above him. With 52 pages of adventures per original issue and a cover price that defined an era, this 2017 reprint is a wonderful entry point into one of Quality Comics' most entertaining characters.
