This 1986 Dupuis album collects stories centered on the beloved Belgian creation Guust Flater, with every line of art — both interior and cover — crafted by the master cartoonist Franquin himself, joined in the writing by Jidéhem. "Het zware verleden van Guust Flater" promises a look into the weighty (and no doubt wonderfully chaotic) past of one of Franco-Belgian comics' most endearingly disaster-prone office clerks. A fine addition to any shelf dedicated to the golden era of Dutch-language strip albums.
