The lanky, green-jacketed Gaston (Guust) dominates this sunny yellow cover, arms flung wide with a bewildered "NGWAAK!" as a flurry of papers scatters around him and a crowd of small, expressive bystanders reacts with alarm, laughter, and hearts below. It's a wonderfully chaotic snapshot of the beloved Belgian comic's signature blend of well-meaning disaster and comic timing. This 2021 Dupuis reissue — volume 14 of the chronological collection — is a fine way to revisit Franquin's irresistible Office Fool in a handsome new edition.
