This March 1959 Atlas/Marvel two-fer delivers a pair of frontier favorites on one ten-cent cover by Jack Kirby and Chris Rule: Kid Colt, blond and wide-eyed in his red shirt and cowhide vest, faces down a menacing gunman with a speech bubble promising he's "Trapped in the Haunted Mine!" Below him, a steely-eyed Wyatt Earp levels two revolvers dead at the reader, coolly announcing that "this is the law talkin'!" Two classic Western heroes, one bold cover — fine frontier entertainment from a time when the genre ruled the spinner racks.
