# Gunsmoke Trail #2 (1957) – Synopsis This issue appears to be an anthology containing at least two stories. "Ghost Bullet" follows FBI agent Brent Foster as he investigates the murder of world-famous scientist Hiram Keighley, who was shot in his library while discussing his secret atomic bomb research with his daughter Marion and her fiancé Raymond Carlson. "Renegade at Buffalo Bluff" features a white woman named Swift Arrow who was captured and raised by a Native American tribe; when her tribe captures a woman from a neighboring tribe to be enslaved, Swift Arrow risks her life to help the captive escape, ultimately earning the respect of the tribe's chieftain who allows her and her female companion to depart safely.
