This anthology issue contains two stories: "A Peso for Your Thoughts," in which Senor Pancho Ramez, a Mexican mud sculptor struggling to make a living in New York, creates a mud bust of a hook-nosed man he encounters on the street, only to have the man show interest in purchasing it; and an untitled Western tale featuring a conflict between settlers and bandits, in which a character named Joan Burnett, described as having fought with the South during the Civil War, becomes involved in a gunfight and fire at a homestead while trying to protect the innocent from outlaws planning to hang someone that night.
