☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis collection brings together the complete run of Gulf War Journal, a 2004 series from ibooks that offers a gritty, firsthand perspective on the conflict through the eyes of a combat journalist. The story follows a war correspondent embedded with U.S. forces, blending personal narrative with the chaos of modern warfare.
In "Deja Vu All Over Again," journalist Jo and her interpreter Gajaba face a harrowing ordeal when they’re mistaken for enemy combatants by U.S. fighter jets during a rescue mission. Captured by the Iraqi Army and subjected to brutal interrogation, they’re forced to confront the war from a perspective far removed from their own. Written and illustrated by Don Lomax, with inks by Rose Lomax and lettering by Clem Robins, the story’s cover by Burton Moore captures the tension of a conflict that blurs lines between ally and enemy.
