Guardians of the Galaxy #3

A armored figure — winged cape spread wide, clawed gauntlets reaching toward the viewer — surges forward against a backdrop of shattered cosmic space in Clint Langley's striking cover for Guardians of the Galaxy #3. The sheer scale and menace of this imposing character sets a serious tone for "Beyond Belief," written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning with interior art by Paul Pelletier and Rick Magyar. Marvel's 2008 cosmic revival was firing on all cylinders, and this issue looks like a compelling piece of that ambitious run.
