Groo: Friends and Foes #1

The cover of this Dark Horse series opener says it all: a ship is going down in spectacular fashion, its mast snapped and crew scrambling over splintered wreckage in wide-eyed panic, while a curly-haired Captain Ahax clings desperately to a broken spar — and somewhere in the background, our cheerfully oblivious hero Groo drifts serenely away in a tiny yellow rowboat. Sergio Aragonés' pen captures the glorious chaos with the same boundless energy fans have loved for decades, and with Evanier, Sakai, and Luth rounding out the creative team, this Friends and Foes miniseries is off to a wonderfully calamitous start.
