Groo: Fray of the Gods #3
The third chapter of Groo: Fray of the Gods delivers exactly the divine chaos its title promises — on the cover, our hapless dual-sword-wielding wanderer Groo charges forward with his faithful dog Rufferto at his heels, while an enormous stone-carved hand reaches down from above amid crumbling ruins and a crowd of gods watching from the background. Sergio Aragonés's cover art crackles with his trademark energy, balancing the absurdly colossal threat with Groo's utterly undeterred expression. With Aragonés and Mark Evanier steering the story and Tom Luth's colors warming the whole scene, this 2016 Dark Horse entry is a thoroughly enjoyable slice of sword-and-sandal comedy.
