Erica has spells where she wakes up in strange places with no memory of where she's been. She is usually able to conceal these events from her parents. However, she is scared after her latest episode when she wakes up naked on the beach. At her eighteenth birthday party, she is excited to see that her boyfriend, Patrick, has been allowed to come to the party. Running to him, she trips and falls into the pool. When she emerges, she is revealed as a mermaid.
