Baba Yaga tortures the Piper to try to get him to reveal the location of the Serpent's Sceptre, but Samantha is uncomfortable with her methods. When Baba Yaga leaves temporarily, the Piper talks Samantha into freeing him so he won't be killed. As soon as he is free, he strikes Samantha and removes the sceptre from a pocket dimension located in his body. But Baba Yaga and Samantha had planned this all along as Baba Yaga never actually left. Holding a knife to the Piper's throat, she takes the sceptre.
