Grim #19

Flaviano's cover for Grim #19 is a wonderfully unsettling scene: a young woman on roller skates — tray in hand, hair pinned up, wearing a retro carhop uniform — glides through a drive-in diner surrounded entirely by skeletal customers, all grinning with hollow eyes. The cool purple palette and overhead angle give the whole image an eerie, almost dreamlike quality that perfectly captures the series' blend of the macabre and the mundane. Stephanie Phillips' supernatural series continues in strong form with this 2024 issue from BOOM! Studios.
