Grifter #8

Issue #8 of Image's Grifter (1997) pairs the masked, red-and-green-clad Grifter — dual pistols raised against a moonlit sky — with a fierce white-haired warrior in red armor brandishing a gleaming blade in the foreground. The dynamic composition by cover penciler Mat Broome and inker Troy Hubbs crackles with kinetic energy, framed by shadowy tropical foliage that gives the whole scene an atmosphere of high-stakes confrontation. With Steven Grant scripting and Mike Ryan on interior art, this is a strong chapter in one of Image's harder-edged action titles of the mid-'90s.
