Green Lanterns #30

Part four of "Out of Time" arrives with a cover by Brad Walker and Drew Hennessy that's all brooding, monumental power — a massive, armored figure rendered entirely in churning greens and golds looms in profile, its face locked in fierce concentration as an explosive burst of green ring energy erupts from below. The sheer scale and texture of the figure, cracked and layered like ancient stone come to life, gives the image a genuinely imposing weight. Sam Humphries continues his DC Universe Rebirth run here alongside artist Carlo Barberi, and this 2017 issue promises the kind of high-stakes Lantern storytelling the arc's title — "Never Quit" — suggests perfectly.
