Green Lantern: New Guardians #9

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Green Lantern: New Guardians #9 drops the team straight into a swarming alien onslaught as the cover — penciled by Tyler Kirkham and inked by Matt Banning — announces the New Guardians have been "Invaded by the Reach!" Front and center, a blue-suited Sinestro Corps or Blue Lantern figure surges forward crackling with energy, flanked by a Star Sapphire wielding glowing pink constructs and a yellow-armored Lantern ready for battle, while waves of insectoid Reach warriors press in from every direction. Writer Tony Bedard's "Beyond Hope" looks to be a full-throttle test of this unlikely coalition's ability to hold together when the odds are overwhelmingly against them.
