This collection brings together issues #0 and #13–17 of the 2012 Green Lantern Corps series, along with a story from Green Lantern Annual #1. The narrative pits the Green Lantern Corps against the ancient cosmic tyrant Starbreaker, who seeks to conquer the universe by exploiting the power of the Weaponer of Qward. The volume also features a backup tale exploring the origins of the Weaponer's deadly creations.

In "Part One" of Green Lantern Corps: The Weaponer, Kyle faces a desperate mission: convincing Sinestro to aid in rescuing Soranik from the enigmatic Weaponer, only to find his plea rejected. Forced to act alone, he rallies a team of Green Lanterns to stand against a threat that tests the limits of the Corps. Written by Tony Bedard and illustrated by Tyler Kirkham with inks by Batt and colors by Nei Ruffino, the issue’s cover by Tyler Kirkham and Batt captures the tension of a fractured alliance.
