Green Lantern Corps #30

The tagline "Death Walks Among the Lanterns!" sets a grim tone for this 2014 New 52 entry in the Green Lantern Corps, and the cover by Bernard Chang delivers on that promise — a massive, horned bull-like alien in Green Lantern uniform looms over a fallen Lantern with horns of his own, while a female Lantern and a red-skinned menace struggle in the background. Van Jensen's "Survival of the Fittest" story arc, brought to life by artists Chris Batista and Scott Kolins, suggests the Corps is facing threats from within its own ranks as much as from outside. If you've been following the New 52 Corps through its trials, issue #30 looks like a turning point where not every ring-bearer makes it out intact.
