Green Lantern Corps #29

Part one of "Sins of the Star Sapphire" arrives in this December 2008 issue, and Patrick Gleason's cover makes an immediate impression — a menacing, pink-energy-wreathed figure dominates the foreground, glowing red eyes blazing as shards of crystal scatter outward. Green Lanterns tumble through the chaos in the background, while a young woman with white hair looks on in the lower portion of the image, her expression filled with unease. Peter J. Tomasi and Gleason are clearly setting the Corps against a threat steeped in the power of the Star Sapphires, and the tension crackling across this cover promises that love, in this corner of the DC universe, is anything but safe.
