About this Collection

This volume continues DC's hardcover archival series, collecting classic Silver Age Green Lantern stories from the late 1960s. It reprints issues featuring Hal Jordan's adventures as written by John Broome and Gardner Fox, with art by Gil Kane and others, including the introduction of the villain Black Hand and the debut of the Star Sapphire. The collection preserves the original coloring and lettering, offering a faithful look at this era of cosmic superhero storytelling.

In "Practice Makes The Perfect Crime!", Hal Jordan faces a twisty case when a bank heist goes awry—only for the fourth man, Pete Claypool, to pull off the job unnoticed. When Pete suddenly inherits wealth and moves next door to Carol Ferris, his jealousy of Hal ignites a dangerous scheme to frame him. Written by Gardner Fox and illustrated by Gil Kane with inks by Sid Greene and colors by Jamison, this Green Lantern Archives entry features a classic mystery with a personal stake, all wrapped in a cover by Gil Kane.
