About this Collection

This fourth volume of the Green Lantern Archives series collects classic Silver Age tales featuring Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Sector 2814. Reprinting issues from the early 1960s, it showcases the cosmic adventures and imaginative stories that defined the character's early era under the creative team of John Broome and Gil Kane.

"Master of the Power Ring" presents a pivotal moment in Hal Jordan’s Green Lantern legacy, as Carol Ferris returns as Star Sapphire in a high-stakes duel of willpower and control. Written by Gardner Fox and brought to life with dynamic art by Gil Kane, inks by Joe Giella, and vibrant colors by Lee Loughridge, this 2002 archive issue captures a rare, intimate clash between two of DC’s most enduring figures. The cover, penciled by Gil Kane and inked by Murphy Anderson, perfectly frames the tension of the moment.
