The subtitle "Screams & Arrows!" says it all — José Ladrönn's cover for this July 2009 issue throws Green Arrow and Black Canary into a storm of flying arrows and shattering debris, the two heroes locked in what looks like a fierce confrontation with each other rather than a common foe. Black Canary's hair whips wildly as she lets loose a scream, while a bow-wielding Green Arrow faces her down amid the chaos, making the series' "vs." title feel genuinely earned.
