Part of DC's 2010 Brightest Day crossover event, this third issue finds Oliver Queen battered and bloodied — his torn green tunic shredded across his chest, an arrow driven into his forehead, and deep lacerations marking his body as he stands defiantly against a dense tangle of branches. Mauro Cascioli's painted cover work is visceral and striking, conveying a hero pushed well past his limits yet refusing to fall. With J.T. Krul writing and the art team of Diógenes Neves and Vicente Cifuentes inside, "Character Assassination" promises a punishing chapter in Oliver Queen's ongoing struggle.
