At the Academy Awards ceremony, sisters Sandra and Rena get in a fight. Rena turns down Dr. King’s offer of help, but several weeks later Rena shoots Sandra when she catches her with Mike, her boyfriend. Rena is arrested. Dr. King learns that Rena was jealous when Sandra was born, believing her younger sister was stealing all her parents’ love. Rena apologizes to Sandra and Sandra drops the attempted murder charges. The sisters reconcile.
