A climbing expedition narrative follows a character named Rod Duncan, who encounters his German rival Helfand on a mountain and engages in a confrontation that ends with Helfand falling to his death. A third story features Robin Hood battling against a baron and his men, culminating in Robin's successful strike against the nobleman.
