"Phantom Lady" by Gregory Page follows the costumed hero in hot pursuit of a gang of criminals and a getaway car, with the Phantom Lady racing to intercept them before they escape. "The True Story of Walt Stevens, the Critic Who Turned Corpse," narrated by the Phantom Lady, recounts the tragic tale of literary critic Walt Stevens and his wife Tilda, exploring themes of crime, desperation, and moral corruption when a man's life spirals into darkness.
When Senator Knight's covert mission to Asia turns into a trap, his daughter Sandra and her friend Don race to his rescue—only to find themselves caught in a conflict between ruthless insurgents and the native Tiger-worshippers of a remote Indian village. As Sandra transforms into the Phantom Lady, she must navigate a tangle of military intrigue, ancient rituals, and unexpected allies to save the Senator and stop an invasion bent on seizing the region's oil fields. With her trademark black ray and quick thinking, the Phantom Lady fights to turn the tide before dawn brings a firing squad's grim sentence.
In "Adventure of the Jade Maiden," Don takes a job guarding the mysterious Yin Yang jade figurine at Griben & Gray Jewelers, only to find himself caught in a web of deception. As the jewelers’ security becomes a cover for a larger scheme, Don must rely on the unexpected help of Phantom Lady to unravel the truth.
In "The Saturnalia of Sin," the Phantom Lady’s apparent demise sends shockwaves through the city, but her mysterious disappearance only fuels a sinister scheme. The Grin exploits the public’s grief by enlisting fake mediums to stage ghostly messages, manipulating the police and feeding the rumor that she’s haunting them from beyond. When the truth begins to unravel, the Phantom Lady steps back into the light—determined to expose the deception before the illusion consumes the city.
In "The True Story of Walt Stevens, the Critic Who Turned Corpse," a paranoid man convinced his wife and chauffeur are plotting against him hires a private detective to uncover the truth. When the evidence mounts during a second attempt on his life, the pair’s guilt fractures their alliance—setting off a chain of events that spirals beyond control.
