Grayson Annual #1
The first annual for DC's New 52 Grayson series arrives in 2015 with a cover by Mikel Janín that sets a sharp espionage tone: a determined woman raises a crossbow in the foreground while Dick Grayson looms behind her, pistol in hand, both figures framed against aged Byzantine-style artwork that hints at something ancient and dangerous at stake. Writers Tim Seeley and Tom King, along with artist Stephen Mooney and colorist Jeromy Cox, bring their talents to the story "A Story of Giants Big and Small," promising the kind of globe-trotting intrigue the series does so well. It's a handsome, atmospheric package that fits right into one of DC's more quietly compelling titles of the era.
