Gravity #2
The second chapter of this 2005 Marvel limited series puts the odds in sharp relief: a massive, grinning Rhino looms over a wide-eyed Gravity, fists clenched and ready, making the size difference between seasoned villain and young hero feel genuinely daunting. Mike Norton and Jonathan Glapion's cover composition does a fine job of selling the "Friends and Enemies" theme — sometimes the enemies part comes in a very large, rhinoceros-horned package. With Sean McKeever writing and Guru eFX's clean colors giving Gravity's white-and-blue costume a crisp pop against Rhino's stony grey bulk, this is a series that clearly has both visual confidence and a sense of humor about its hero's learning curve.
