Graveyard Shift #3

Fran Bueno's cover for this Image series sets a deeply unsettling mood — a blood-spattered, red-eyed vampire-like figure looms over a stone cemetery statue, his clawed hand and cold stare radiating menace against a pale, smoky sky. The contrast between the weathered grave monument and this very-much-alive predator gives the image a striking, almost elegiac quality. Jay Faerber's Graveyard Shift continues to look like one of 2015's more compelling horror offerings from Image.
