Gotham by Midnight #3

Gotham by Midnight #3 leans hard into the series' supernatural horror identity, and Ben Templesmith's cover makes the case immediately — a decayed, skull-like face wearing what appears to be a nun's habit looms out of a smoldering amber background, occult diagrams etched beneath it and a thin red line snaking through one hollow eye socket like a dying nerve. Blood drips in the shape of a bat symbol at the figure's chest, a quietly unsettling detail that ties Gotham's dark mysticism back to its superhero roots. Ray Fawkes and Templesmith are crafting something genuinely unnerving here, and this 2015 New 52 entry — subtitled "We Become What We Fight" — wears that dread on its sleeve.
