“Secret Destroyer”

In "Secret Destroyer," Gorgo and his mother seek refuge in Cuba, only to find themselves in the middle of a high-stakes underwater threat. When Gorgo confronts a colossal squid and stumbles upon a hidden Soviet missile installation on Turtle Island, he takes matters into his own hands—unwittingly playing a pivotal role in a global crisis. Written by Joe Gill and illustrated by Bill Montes with inks by Ernie Bache, the cover by Dick Giordano captures the tension of a world on the edge.
