A menacing top-hatted figure looms through iron bars in sickly green tones, his unsettling pale eye fixed directly on the viewer — a striking cover image from Griffo that immediately establishes the oppressive authority suggested by the title "Le Juge Aaron." Behind the bars, a dapper gentleman and an elegantly dressed woman stand against a vivid magenta cityscape of grand domed buildings, hinting at the high-society world caught in this judge's shadow. Stephen Desberg and Griffo's Golden Dogs continues to impress with this 2015 Le Lombard release, its moody color palette — courtesy of Roberto Burgazzoli and Griffo — making for one of the series' most visually arresting entries.
