Dark Horse brings the King of Monsters to devastating life in this 1988 fifth installment of their Godzilla series, with cover art by Mark A. Nelson showing the great beast lunging forward, jaws open and streaming a blast of his signature atomic breath, as crumbling skyscrapers and a fleeing aircraft fill the chaotic backdrop. The composition captures Godzilla at his most visceral — scales bristling, eyes locked, smoke and fire erupting around him — making the sense of scale and destruction feel genuinely immediate. It's a striking entry in Dark Horse's six-issue run, with a creative team that includes writers Randy Stradley and Mike Richardson alongside artist Kazuhisa Iwata.
