Glitterbomb #4
Jim Zub and Djibril Morissette-Phan's Glitterbomb has been one of Image Comics' most unsettling series of 2016, and this fourth issue's cover makes that unmistakably clear. Morissette-Phan depicts a blood-soaked figure standing nude on a red carpet, back turned to the viewer, while a crowd of paparazzi and cameras press in from behind a velvet rope — the collision of vulnerability and voyeurism is genuinely arresting. It's a striking visual statement about exposure, spectacle, and the predatory nature of fame.
