Glitterbomb #3 brings one of 2016's most unsettling series to a striking visual moment — a young girl with dark, wild hair and blood-red eyes lunges toward the viewer, teeth bared, her expression caught somewhere between rage and something far more disturbing against a blazing crimson background. Djibril Morissette-Phan's cover work is genuinely arresting, rendering her pale, shadowed face with an intimacy that makes the threat feel uncomfortably close. If Jim Zub and the creative team have kept pace with the tension this image promises, issue three of this Image series is not one to skip.
