The story follows Donald and his nephews as they compete with rival treasure hunters to claim a legendary Viking artifact, with Daisy Duck and other familiar Duckburg characters making appearances. This volume is part of Gladstone's series reprinting Barks' beloved Disney comics in album format.
In "The Golden Helmet," Donald Duck and a museum curator join forces with Azure Blue, a modern-day Viking descendant, in a high-stakes race across Labrador to recover a legendary golden helmet said to grant dominion over North America. As the treasure nears, even Donald’s nephew and the ever-shifty Lawyer Sharky find themselves gripped by visions of power, each convinced they’re destined to rule the continent.
In "The Reversed Rescue," Donald takes to the skies in a helicopter to visit Grandma at her snowbound farm, only to be shot down by the Beagle Boys—leaving Grandma and the nephews to mount a daring rescue mission in the frozen wilderness.
