Hal hires Ruth to decorate his new house. Ruth has a crush on Hal and doesn’t want to take the job because he’s engaged to someone else, but finally agrees. Hal, his fiancee Mona, and Ruth visit the house and Mona hates it, including the décor. A forest fire is approaching, and Ruth and Hal try to save the house, while Mona drives away. The house is destroyed but Hal and Ruth, now in love, will rebuild it together.
