"Kitty and Kay in Switzerland" by Elise Probyn, wherein two schoolgirls on holiday in the Swiss Valley encounter a spoiled boy named Eddie Prout; when Eddie ruins their museum outing and picnic plans, Kitty and Kay outwit him through a series of pranks involving a canoe and a pageant. "That Exciting Holiday on the Broads," in which Pat Fraser, her brother Tony, and schoolmate Valerie holiday on the Norfolk Broads and discover a message in a bottle leading them to investigate a prisoner on a nearby yacht, only to uncover a case of mistaken identity involving an imprisoned girl.
