Gipsy #6
The sixth chapter of Gipsy arrives with "Das Lachen der Azteken" — "The Laughter of the Aztecs" — and Enrico Marini's cover sets an immediate tone of danger and attitude: a powerfully built man in a black sleeveless shirt raises a pistol while a sharp-eyed blonde woman stands at his back, both framed against weathered stone carvings that hint at ancient Mesoamerican ruins. Marini handles every visual layer here — pencils, inks, and color — and the warm golden palette against those sculpted backgrounds gives the duo a genuinely cinematic presence. Written by Thierry Smolderen and Tanja Krämling, this 2003 Carlsen Comics release promises action-adventure with a satisfying sense of place and style.
