Issue three of Rick Remender and Eric Nguyen's Dark Horse series delivers one of the series' most visceral covers yet — Nguyen's artwork depicts a massive, beast-like mechanical creature looming over a smaller armored figure, both locked in a fierce clash amid erupting fire and crackling lightning. The sheer scale between the two combatants says everything about the odds our armored hero seems to be facing. Matthew Wilson's scorching red and orange color work amplifies the chaos, making this 2009 release feel every bit as intense as its title promises.
