Written by Jeff Lemire and illustrated by Mahmud Asrar, with additional art by Allan Goldman, Robson Rocha, and inks by John Dell, Andy Owens, Eber Ferreira, and JP Mayer, this pivotal issue delivers a tense, emotionally charged climax. The cover by Gary Frank captures the intensity of the moment, a 4.99 USD comic from 2011 that marks a defining chapter in the Atom’s story.

Hawkman protects the Atom's father, but falls into a Colony trap. Oracle gets the Atom to Hawkman, and the Tiny Titan enters the Winged Wonder's bloodstream, where six Colony members reside, about to explode. After saving Hawkman, the Atom decides to turn over the white dwarf matter to the Colony in exchange for the return of his father and uncle, but only after making a special modification to it, shrinking the Colony, and leaving it open for a full-frontal assault by Atom, Hawkman and David Palmer.
