Ghosts #43

DC's long-running anthology of the eerie, Ghosts #43 (October 1975) promises four unsettling tales — "The Boy Who Cried Ghosts," "River of Phantoms," "Specter in the Stone," and "3 Corpses on a Rope" — all under the series' trademark dare: "We Challenge You to Read…" Luis Dominguez's cover delivers on that challenge with a chilling moonlit scene in which a skeletal, shrouded apparition looms over a terrified man and a screaming young boy, clawed hands reaching as the pair scramble in horror. It's a genuinely atmospheric piece of mid-seventies DC supernatural comics, exactly the kind of spine-tingling package this series delivered month after month.
