Ghostly Tales #95
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeCharlton's Ghostly Tales #95 brings the chills with a cover by Steve Ditko that splits neatly between dread and dread: on one side, a sinister vampire-like figure looms over a disembodied telephone and a glowing green supernatural hand crackling with energy, while on the other, a terrified red-haired woman recoils from a ringing phone — teased by the cover copy as "Answer the Phone, Dottie." The premise is deliciously unsettling: she loved making anonymous calls, but now something on the other end is calling her. Wayne Howard handles the interior work on "The Eye of Evil," making this 1972 Charlton anthology a fine pick for fans of compact, atmospheric horror comics.
