Ghostly Tales #89
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA sinister caped figure with horns looms at the edge of the cover, his single enormous eye dominating the composition as a man and woman are caught helplessly within its hypnotic gaze — Steve Ditko's cover art for this 1971 Charlton anthology is genuinely unsettling in the best way. The cover teases a story called "The Fatal Error," in which newlyweds Bryan Wallace and Trudi apparently cannot escape the diabolical designs of a master hypnotist named Mr. Eye. With Joe Gill writing and Ditko handling both interior art and lettering duties alongside Charlotte Jetter, Ghostly Tales #89 delivers the kind of supernatural suspense that made Charlton's horror line a treat for genre fans.
