Ghostly Tales #101

Charlton's Ghostly Tales #101 brings something genuinely unusual to 1973 horror comics: "The Promise," a Korean folk tale presented in both English and Korean — billed right on the cover as "Never Before in Comics!" Sanho Kim's cover art sets a brooding, moonlit tone, depicting armored warriors mid-combat with swords drawn while a ghostly white-robed figure looms hauntingly in the background. Kim handled every creative aspect of this issue himself — writing, art, inking, and lettering — making it a rare and compelling single-creator showcase wrapped in some wonderfully atmospheric horror.
