“Living Nightmare!”

This December 1990 issue promises hellish intensity with its "Living Nightmare!" story, and Javier Saltares' cover delivers exactly that mood — a snarling, red-clad demon figure looms massively in the foreground while a small, chain-wielding Ghost Rider stands defiantly in a circle of hellfire below. Flanking the scene in ghostly blue are two additional figures — a woman and a masked character — with the flaming-skulled Ghost Rider himself towering ominously in the background. It's a composition that lays out a world of supernatural menace surrounding our hero from every angle, making this one of the more visually striking covers of the series' early run.
