Ghost Rider #63

Part 2 of the "In Chains!" arc finds Ghost Rider in a deeply ominous situation — the cover by Salvador Larroca and Sergio Melia depicts the flaming skull-headed Spirit of Vengeance shackled and restrained, blazing with hellfire, while a crowd of silhouetted figures looms in the foreground as if bearing witness to his captivity. The composition crackles with tension, Ghost Rider's supernatural fury straining against his bonds against a backdrop of churning orange flame. Writer Howard Mackie and artist Salvador Larroca were clearly building toward something big with this 1995 series.
