From cover artists Bob Budiansky and Al Milgrom comes a striking image that captures Ghost Rider — flaming skull blazing — hurled or lunging through the air as a massive, menacing semi-truck bears down with hellish intent, setting the stage for "The Diesel of Doom!" The ominous tag line "Stay Off'a Clem's Road — Or Else!" makes clear that Marvel's Spirit of Vengeance has met a very territorial opponent on a dark, tree-lined stretch of highway. This December 1980 issue, with interiors by writer Michael Fleisher and artist Don Perlin, promises the kind of supernatural road-rage showdown that made Ghost Rider one of Marvel's most distinctive series of the era.
