Ghost Rider #5

Ghost Rider roars straight at you on Mark Texeira's blazing cover — flaming skull blazing, chopper thundering up a rickety roller-coaster track while two demonic riders close in from either side, all bathed in an inferno of orange and gold. It's a genuinely arresting image that captures the Spirit of Vengeance at his most relentless, with hellfire practically leaping off the page. Daniel Way and Javier Saltares were deep into their 2007 run here, and this issue — "The Day Johnny Came Home" — promises exactly the kind of supernatural intensity the title delivers best.
